QUICK + EASY BOLOGNESE
Ingredients:
(1) lb of ground turkey meat
(1) tablespoon of chopped fresh garlic
(1) tablespoon of fresh basil
(1) jar of pre-made Tomato Sauce (*I like the 3 Cheese Tomato Sauce from Trader Joes)
(2) tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Garlic powder
Fresh ground Sea salt
Fresh ground pepper
Fresh Parmigiano Reggiano
Optional: cooked English Peas
Directions:
Sauté garlic in olive oil.
Add ground turkey meat.
Season meat and sauté; cook fully.
Pour in tomato sauce, reserved pasta water (from separately cooked pasta), and fresh chopped basil.
Season to taste.
Bring to a boil, then cook on low for 20 mins, covered (continuously stirring).
Add freshly grated parm reggiano.
Serve over al dente cooked pasta, and with a veggie (ie. cooked English Peas). Enjoy!
